TripTrak Device
CDMA Cellular Network for location information delivery and Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) chip embedded in device.
Provides Best location accuracy information provided device is outdoors or near a window indoors. Provides Good location accuracy information* of a device either in an Outdoor Location or an Indoor Location;
*Device location determination and info is assisted by CDMA network viewing of the GPS satellites and triangulation.
GSM Network Device
GSM Cellular Network for location information delivery with Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) chip embedded in device.
Provides Best location accuracy information provided device is outdoors or near a window indoors. Provides Poor-To-No location accuracy for any device that is indoors and out of view of GPS satellites.
Pure Cellular Device (CDMA)
CDMA Cellular Network for location information delivery with No Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) chip embedded in device.
No GPS location service available. Can only provide Cellular Tower triangulation accuracy which yields Very Poor Accuracy of the device. Usually the police must be notified and a police report filed. Can only provide Cellular Tower triangulation accuracy which yields Very Poor accuracy of the device. Usually the police must be notified and a police report filed.
Pure Cellular Device (GSM)
GSM Cellular Network for location information delivery with No Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) chip embedded in device.
No GPS location service available. Can only provide Cellular Tower triangulation accuracy which yields Very Poor Accuracy of the device. Usually the police must be notified and a police report filed. Can only provide Cellular Tower triangulation accuracy which yields Very Poor Accuracy of the device. Usually the police must be notified and a police report filed.
Pure Satellite Device (No Cellular)
Satellite Network for location information delivery with Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) chip embedded in device.
Provides Best location accuracy information provided device is outdoors or near a window indoors. Very expensive delivery of location information thru satellite network compared to a cellular network. No assisted GPS location service available for any indoor or outdoor location information.
Radio Signal Device Radio receivers or base stations are used to locate a device using radio signals. Provides Good location accuracy information provided device is in a predetermined proximity to the radio receiver. Outside the range of the receiver provides No location information – Police must be notified to conduct search. Provides Good location accuracy information provided device is in a predetermined proximity to the radio receiver. Outside the range of the receiver provides No location information – Police must be notified to conduct search.
